ROBERT LINDSAY

Join Leo as he chats with one of the UK’s most beloved Actors, Robert Lindsay, who discusses his life and work.

Born in Ilkeston, Derbyshire in 1949, Robert Lindsay is a beloved British stage and television actor. In 2021, as soon as theatres re-open, he’ll return to the West End, playing Moonface Martin in Anything Goes at the Barbican, for a 15-week run

We’ll hear how, having toyed with the idea of a theatrical career growing up, Robert decided to take it seriously at college.

In these shows, Robert talks about his Olivier Award winning role of Bill Snibson in Me and My Girl, along with the numerous West End shows he has gloriously starred in over the years, including Becket and Cyrano de Bergerac at the Theatre Royal Haymarket, as well as the role of Fagin in Oliver! at the London Palladium. As well as starring in The Entertainer, he has portrayed the great Laurence Olivier on stage, as well as starring in Trevor Nunn’s The Lion in Winter at the Theatre Royal Haymarket; Dirty Rotten Scoundrels at the Savoy Theatre and in 2016, to huge critical acclaim, he triumphantly played Ebenezer Scrooge in A Christmas Carol at the Lyceum Theatre.
