Saxophonist and Broadcaster

Saxophonist and Broadcaster Leo Green has worked with a veritable who’s who of Artists, including Van Morrison, Ray Charles, Paul McCartney, Eric Clapton, Paul Weller, Lionel Richie and Jerry Lee Lewis.

Leo has been a regular on BBC Radio 2, scripting and presenting more than 250 hours of shows for the network, as well as regularly presenting on JazzFM and other stations.

Leo leads The Van Morrison Alumni Band, an astonishing collection of musicians & singers who over the years have been hand-picked by Van Morrison to perform and record with him – they have collectively performing over 3,200 concerts and appear on a staggering, 845 Van Morrison recording credits – dates & tickets here

Benny Green

Jazz Musician & Broadcaster
Benny Green was a jazz musician and broadcaster, loved by many for his writing and broadcasting on various matters musical. Green, who died in 1998, was a member of Ronnie Scott’s band in the 1950s before beginning a writing career that included regular contributions to countless newspapers and magaizines, along with more than fifty books on subjects ranging from Music, to Sport, to Literature, to the History of London. After his passing in 1998, Leo began archiving his late father’s  incredible Audio and Print archive, declaring – “I would love to make the archive accessible to those interested in the same subjects”.
